Brazil launches Recife daycare centers concession

The municipality of Recife in Pernambuco, Brazil has appointed National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) to structure a public-private partnership (PPP) concession for Daycare Centers in the city.

Under the concession, the private partner will provide construction, reconstruction, management, operation, conservation and maintenance of 44 new daycare centers. The administration process to structure and award the PPP concession is expected to cost BRL3.8 million (US$0.72 million). The project aims to create up to 6,600 new vacancies in Daycare centers.
