Agência Nacional de Transportes Terrestres (ANTT) in Brazil has launched a concession notice seeking a private partner for BR 381 and BR 262 highways concession. The concession comprises over 670 kilometers of extension with BR-381 connecting Belo Horizonte to Governador Valadares and the BR-262 connecting João Monlevade (MG) and Viana (ES). The project will be awarded on the hybrid model criterion which includes basic toll fee and considers the highest grant.
The private partner will be responsible for recovery, operation, maintenance, monitoring, conservation, and implementation of improvements on the highways such as 402 kilometers of duplication, 228 kilometers of additional lanes, 131 kilometers of side roads, at least two stopping and resting points for road transport, etc.
