The Government of Brazil has inaugurated the solar project developed on a 12 hectares of land in Ceilandia Norte, Brasilia.
The facility is developed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between the government and the Brazilian company RZK Energia together with telecom Grupo Claro.
The BRL26 million (US$6.3 million) project consists of about 18,000 solar panels and can generate up to 11,000 MWh of energy per year. The power produced will be fed to Claro and the substation of power utility Companhia Energetica de Brasilia (CED) in the region.
