Autoputevi, the motorway operator of Bosnia's Serb Republic, has awarded the concession contract for the Vukosavlje-Brcko highway to China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC). CSCEC will develop a 33 km long highway connecting Vukosavlje to Brcko, Bosnia and Herzegovina with an estimated investment of EUR335 million (US$343.5 million).
The highway is part of a 70 km long corridor connecting Vukosavlje to the Serbian border. The second section of the highway will be 37 km long and facilitate a connection from Brcko to the Serbian border. Both motorways are expected to be completed by 2030 and will form part of the east-west corridor between Banja Luka, Serb Republic and Belgrade, Serbia.
