The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) and the Municipality of Caxias do Sul have signed a contract for the structuring of the public lighting concession in Brazil.
The project will modernize the city's public lighting service with about 48,000 points of light. For the studies, BNDES will have the support of the technical consultant, the Houer/M Viana IP400 consortium.
During the first stage of this work, a comparative analysis of investment scenarios will be prepared to define the most adequate model for the project. In addition, BNDES and consultants will produce a technical diagnosis report of the public lighting network. The second phase involves services related to the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) modeling. The consultants will support public consultation activities, prepare public notices and bid for the signing of the contract between the City of Caxias do Sul and the winner of the auction.
