BNDES and the IFC have signed a technical cooperation agreement for the development of the healthcare PPP project in Pernambuco, Brazil.
They will work with the municipal government of Jaboatão dos Guararapes based on the agreement signed on November 23, 2021. The PPP project will involve the construction, equipping, and maintenance of basic healthcare centers around the state of Pernambuco. In addition, the selected concessionaire will provide certain support services. The project has an estimated investment of BRL250 million (US$44.75 million).
BNDES and the IFC will develop legal, financial and technical feasibility studies as well as advise the municipal government during the tender process.
