The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) and the French Development Agency (AFD) have partnered for the structuring of projects in the urban mobility sector in Brazil by signing the Technical Cooperation Agreement.
The two institutions will work together on the development of pre-feasibility studies for projects that can later be structured and implemented in Brazilian states and municipalities. The cooperation will focus on urban mobility projects with such premises as social inclusion, reduction of CO2 emissions and atmospheric pollutants, efficiency, effectiveness and durability, innovation and safety, and with a potential for private sector participation.
