Bluebird Network has announced the completion of its acquisition of fiber network assets from Missouri Telecom Inc. (MTI).
The purchase provides for the addition of 40 miles of fiber optic routes to the Bluebird network in Mount Vernon, Monette, Nevada and Aurora, Missouri. These regions now have access to dedicated internet, data center solutions, Ethernet connectivity and private cloud access. As part of the deal, Bluebird also installed three new Points of Presence (PoPs) in Southwest Missouri. The acquisition contributes to Bluebird's aim to have a fiber presence in 80% of communities across the company's 11-state footprint with a population greater than 10,000 people.
The completion of the transaction will strengthen Bluebird's vast fiber network in Southwest Missouri and allow more businesses and organizations in the Midwest to take control of their digital transformation.
