Three teams submitted binding offers last week, on Wednesday, December 11th, 2013, for the selection of a private partner for the project "Implementation of the Waste Treatment Unit in Serres via a PPP".
The contracting Authority of this project is ESANS SA (Solid Waste Management Enterprise of Serres SA).
The three candidates that submitted binding offers are the following:The waste management project of Serres is the second PPP project in Greece procured with the competitive dialogue procedure and the second waste management PPP that combines private resources and EU funds, following the Peloponnese waste management PPP.
The scope of the project is the design, financing, construction, maintenance and operation of the facilities related to the waste treatment unit in the region of Serres. The private partner will be selected for a PPP contract of twenty-seven (27) years, while the total annual amount of waste to be managed has been estimated at 90.000 tons. The project will be co-funded by EU funds.
