The Government of the Republic of Croatia received bids for the Neuropsychiatric hospital Dr. Ivan Barbot and the General Hospital Varazdin on April 13th and April 14th.
The Neuropsychiatric hospital Dr. Ivan Barbot will be located in Popovaca, a town in the Moslavina geographical region of Croatia. The project includes reconstruction of the Institute for Forensic Psychiatry of the total gross area of 5266.00 m² and extension of the Institute for Forensic Psychiatry of the total gross area of 11091.00 m². Total developed area affected is 16357.00 m².
By the PPP contract, the private partner will overtake the obligation to finance, design, reconstruct, build, furnishing, maintenance and management of the facilities for a period of 27 years, two years of preparation and construction and 25 years of maintenance and service.
The estimated capital value of the project amounts to HRK124.5 million -excluding VAT- (US$17.7 million), while the estimated value of public procurement amounts to HRK184,5 million -excluding VAT.
The General Hospital will be located in Varazdin, a city in North Croatia, 81 km (50 mi) north of Zagreb. The project includes: extension of the surgery building (8.919,00 m²), adaptation of the surgery building (11,505.00 m²), refurbishment of the surgery building (2.618,80 m²) and extension of the connecting corridor between 4 buildings (1530,00 m²).

The estimated capital value of the project amounts to HRK370 million - excluding VAT- (US$52.6 million).
