Bids invited for Dar Es Salaam Maritime Gateway Improvement Project in Tanzania

Tanzania Ports Authority has invited bids for a power project as part of the Dar Es Salaam Maritime Gateway Improvement scheme.

The task involves designing, supplying, installing, and commissioning electrical power infrastructure at berths 1-7 and the ro/ro berth in Dar es Salaam Port. The scope of services encompasses providing various substations (main, reefer, ro/ro, gate), establishing grid connections at different voltage levels (33kV, 11kV, 6.6kV), implementing reefer power supply systems, backup power solutions, exterior lighting, low voltage/data cabling, information technology equipment, security systems, SCADA system, and ensuring bonding and lightning protection.

Funding for the project is provided by the World Bank, and proposals must be physically submitted by November 17, 2023.
