Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) has invited bids for the construction of Dar es Salaam Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Infrastructure Phase 5.
This project involves upgrading the current 2-lane road to a 4-lane road, constructing embankments, implementing drainage structures such as bridges, box culverts, and pipe culverts, as well as laying pavement layers, along with other associated tasks. Package A of the Dar Es Salaam BRT infrastructure initiative is split into 2 sections:
Construction of Dar es Salaam BRT Infrastructure - Phase 5, Package B includes Lot 3 which focuses on constructing buildings at various locations, including Temek Depot, Tabata Barakuda (Sigara) Depot, and National Stadium Depot, as well as terminals and feeder stations.
The Government of Tanzania has received funds from Agence Française de Développement (AFD) towards the cost of the Construction of Dar es Salaam BRT System Project – Phase 5. It is intended that part of the proceeds of these funds will be applied to eligible payments under the Contract.
