Senegal Roads Works and Management Agency (AGEROUTE) has invited a bid to carry out rehabilitation work on Senegal's Dakar Bus Rapid Transit Pilot Project, specifically on the Parcelles Assainies station and the development of parking areas.
The project is divided into two lots as follows:
For the Parcelles Assainies station rehabilitation, the ground floor includes common areas such as passenger waiting areas, departure/arrival lounges, a mosque with ablution facilities, 17 businesses for restaurants and various activities, communal circulation spaces, toilets for men and women, vehicle servicing and maintenance area, washing and emptying zones, technical storage, and administration services. Additionally, the space reserved for AFTU network buses features an uncovered pedestrian walkway, covered passenger waiting areas, driver shelters, and sentry boxes. The space designated for taxis comprises parking areas, covered passenger waiting zones, uncovered pedestrian walkways, driver shelters, and sentry boxes. The upper floor (Administration) consists of a control tower, administration circulation spaces, meeting rooms, and restrooms. The Cité Apix Tivaoune Peulh parking area will include regulation parking, paved sidewalks, an operations building with various amenities, station lighting, a bus station fence with access control, street furniture, landscaping, and a gatehouse. Similarly, the Patte d'Oie parking area will encompass regulation parking, paved sidewalks, an operations building with amenities, station lighting, a bus station fence with access control, street furniture, landscaping, and a gatehouse.
The Jaxaay parking facility will feature regulated parking, pedestrian-friendly paved sidewalks, two operational buildings with amenities, station-wide lighting, a bus station fence with access control, street furniture (litter bins, benches, etc.), landscaping, and two gatehouses. Similarly, the Thiaroye Gare parking area will comprise regulated parking, pedestrian-friendly paved sidewalks, two operational buildings with various amenities, station-wide lighting, a bus station fence with access control, street furniture (litter bins, benches, etc.), landscaping, and two gatehouses. The Dalifort parking facility will consist of regulated parking, pedestrian-friendly paved sidewalks, station-wide lighting, a fenced parking area with linear access control, street furniture (litter bins, benches, etc.), landscaping, and an 8.5 m2 gatehouse.
