These clusters involve operation 29 pairs of trains with around 40 modern rakes entailing an investment of around INR72 billion (US$967.56 million). The private operators will improve passenger comfort by providing efficient air conditioning with automatic temperature and humidity control, superior interiors and toilets, access to non-disabled passengers, GPS-enabled passenger announcement system for onboard announcements and station arrivals, as well as safety announcements.
