Bidders list announced for Ras Mohaisen-Baha-Makkah WTS Project in Saudi Arabia

The Water Transmission Company (WTCO), has announced the list of bidders who expressed their interest in respect of the development of the Ras Mohaisen – Baha – Makkah Independent Water Transmission System (IWTS), part of the Western Supply Group.

This project will have a contracted transmission capacity of 515,000 cubic meters per day and a length of approximately 300 km. WTCO will conduct a competitive process to select a developer or developer consortium to develop the Project on a Design, Build, Finance, Lease, and Transfer (DBFLT) basis. The project company developing the Project will lease the entire transmission capacity to WTCO under a Water Transmission Development and Lease Agreement (WTDLA). The term of the WTDLA is expected to be up to 35 years. Following is the list of Bidders who expressed interest: Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC (TAQA); Acciona Agua S.A; Al Bawani Capital; Al Bawardi Group Holding; Al Jomaih Energy & Water Co; Al Kobraish Investment and Construction Company; Al Yamamah Water Projects Company; Al-Ayuni Investment & Contracting Company (AICC); Alghanim International; Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies; Alrawaf Contracting; Buhur For Investment Company; Civil Work Company LTD; Contrax International DMCC; Cox Water; Elecnor Group; Emirates Utilities Development Company (EUDC); Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL); Lonestar Construction; Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL); Mofarreh Al-Harbi & Partners; Mutlaq AL-Ghowairi Contracting Company – MGC; NESMA Company; Orascom Construction (OC); Ouais Group Construction Company; Precision Scientific Equipment (PSE); Rawafid Industrial Company; Restorever; Sojitz Corporation; Thrustboring Construction Co. The advisers on the Project are:

  • Synergy Consulting IFA Inc. as Lead and Financial Adviser;
  • Clifford Chance as Legal Adviser; and
  • ILF as Technical Adviser.
