Planning Ministry in Maldives has reduced the minimum bid price to US$3 million for the airports concession. Earlier the minimum bid price was US$5 million. The concession involves development of six airports located in islands of Haa Dhaalu Atoll, Makunudhoo, B. Bilafahi, B. Thulhaadhoo, Th. Vilufushi, F. Magoodhoo, and Raa Atoll.
The authority has also included an amendment that also allows for partial financing for the airport development. The estimated investment cost for the airports is as follows :
The tender has no deadline and the proposals must be submitted to the Economic Ministry.
