BCDA invites bids for fiber backbone phase 1 PPP project in Philippines

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has published the invitation for bidding teams for the Design, Build and Establishment of the National Fiber Backbone Phase 1. Completion of the works is required in 200 calendar days.

The requirements for prospective bidders include:

  • Bidders must have completed similar projects with a contract amount of not less than fifty percent (50%) of the ABC;
  • Bidding is restricted to Filipino citizens/sole proprietorships;
  • Bidders must have at least a license category “AAA” and a license classification “Large B” from the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) for General Engineering, General Building, Electrical Works or Communication Facilities.

The deadline for bids is March 15, 2021.
