BC launches tender for CAD2.8-bn Broadway Subway P3

The Broadway Subway in Vancouver is moving forward with an invitation to bidders to submit their qualifications to develop the project under PPP scheme.

As part of the competitive procurement process, a request for qualifications (RFQ) has been released on BC Bid to identify a contractor to design, build and finance the CAD2.8-billion (US$ 2.1-billion) Broadway Subway project.

The PPP project includes the design, construction, and partial financing of an approximately 5.7-kilometre extension of the Millennium Line from just west of VCC-Clark Station to a new terminus at Arbutus Street. Major underground works, such as tunneling and construction of underground stations, are required to
complete the Project.

The RFQ will close in April 2019. The ministry will then select up to three respondent teams to participate in the subsequent phase of the competitive selection process, which is the request for proposal stage.
