Bartholomew county in Indiana, USA has issued a letter of intent (LoI) to Meridiam Infrastructure for the development of a broadband network in the county.
The authority is planning to install a fiber-optic cable network that will cover almost 90% of the rural areas across the county. The project is expected to provide a reliable, high-speed internet connection outside municipality areas.
With an estimated investment value of US$50 million, the broadband network will be equipped to provide 1 Gbps up and downlink. If finalized, Meridiam Infrastructure will operate the network for 5 years.
