The Government of Bangladesh has decided to drop the development of the Laldia Bulk Terminal as a public-private partnership (PPP) project in Chattogram. The decision was made on the basis that the PPP project did not meet the expectations.
Located at the Laldia Char area on the right bank of the Karnaphuli River, the terminal will be implemented by the Chattogram Port Authority (CPA) using its own fund.
