The Bacolod City government signed a 10-year build-transfer-maintain agreement with private proponent High-Data Infra Corp. to develop the landmark Bacolod Super City Project.
This PHP 2.1 billion (US$ 36 million), 10-year project, funded through the General Fund, will be implemented in phases. The first phase will focus on E-Governance, as it is the most feasible for immediate execution. Subsequent phases will include the establishment of a Command Center Infrastructure and the deployment of Intelligent Street Lamp Poles equipped with dynamic cameras for traffic monitoring, people monitoring, flood monitoring, and HuliCam portable cameras. The benefits of Intelligent Street Lamp Poles to the city include enhanced traffic management, increased safety and security, better energy efficiency, improved public communication, environmental monitoring, and future-ready infrastructure.
Project Components:
Centralized Command Center: A hub for monitoring various city conditions and incidents, aiming to enhance public safety and emergency response.
Intelligent Street Lamp Poles: Installation of street lamps equipped with video surveillance analytics to monitor traffic, pedestrian activity, and flood situations, contributing to smarter urban management.
Property and Tax Assessment System: Implementation of a comprehensive system to streamline property assessments and tax collections, enhancing fiscal management.
Geographical Information System (GIS): Development of a GIS to support urban planning and decision-making processes by providing detailed spatial data.
