Ayesa has secured a EUR11 million (US$11.95 million) engineering contract from the Santiago Metro to carry out the technical inspection of the lot covering sections 2, 3 and 4 of the Line 7 project in Chile.
The contract awarded to Ayesa covers a ten-kilometer stretch and involves supervising all aspects relating to construction, verification of compliance with technical specifications, document control for construction and installation contracts, compliance with construction methods and safety standards, and monitoring of the progress made and the schedule for implementation, to name but a few examples.
The US$2.5 billion project involves the development of a 26-kilometer-long metro rail line with 19 stations. It intends to connect 7 communes of Renca, Cerro Navia, Quinta Normal, Santiago, Providencia, Vitacura and Las Condes.
