The government of New South Wales has appointed SNC-Lavalin, in partnership with HKA and Infrastructure Nation, as Integration and Delivery Partner for the AUD11 billion (US$8.47 billion) Western Sydney Airport Metro PPP project.
The contract is for six years, during which the companies will support in-house resources of Sydney Metro to undertake project integration and delivery of mandates for the driverless railway. The project will develop a 23-kilometer long metro line between St. Marys, a new airport and the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, including six new stations.
The project will become the transport spine for Greater Western Sydney, connecting communities, businesses and travelers with the new Western Sydney International Airport and the growing region. The development is funded by the Australian and New South Wales governments.
