Atlantic Aviation has revealed its acquisition of Ferrovial Vertiports, previously owned by global infrastructure company Ferrovial.
The acquisition strengthens Atlantic Aviation's dedication to facilitating advanced air mobility (AAM) operations by integrating infrastructure for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. These vertiports serve as designated hubs for eVTOL vehicles, enabling takeoff, hovering, and landing across urban, suburban, and rural areas. This innovation enhances regional connectivity and provides a sustainable, low-emission transportation alternative. Now operating as VertiPorts by Atlantic, Ferrovial Vertiports has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlantic Aviation.
Atlantic Aviation, a progressive FBO network, continues to showcase its dedication to enhancing eVTOL infrastructure. This effort includes expanding electric aircraft charging stations across its FBO locations and upgrading utilities at New York's iconic 34th Street Heliport to facilitate regional eVTOL operations. Through this recent acquisition, Atlantic Aviation solidifies its leadership in advanced air mobility (AAM), utilizing its vision, resources, and expertise to establish a robust network of eVTOL facilities.
