The City of Los Angeles’ Bureau of Engineering (BOE) has selected Arup as its financial and procurement advisor for the procurement of the Los Angeles Street Civic Building (LASCB).
Arup will lead the development of the RFQ/P documents and will conduct financial analysis and market soundings for the City’s preferred DBFOM and DBF+OM delivery options. Arup will also assist BOE with the management of the procurement process, including evaluation of proposals, negotiations, financial closing and construction phase project management support.
Arup will be joined by Perkins+Will as the city’s technical advisor and Ashurst and Loeb & Loeb as the legal advisors. Arup’s sub-consultants for the project include: Deloitte, BAE, MGAC, Trifiletti Consulting, and OCMI.
The City is looking to build a 27–29 story tower that will contain 753,740ft2 of office space and underground parking for 1,100 vehicles. A request for qualifications (RFQ) is expected to be issued in January 2019. The request for proposals (RFP) is slated to be issued next May to shortlisted teams, with responses due in September 2019.
