Ardian has signed an agreement with Groupe Casino, Bpifrance and Tikehau Capital to acquire a majority stake in GreenYellow.

GreenYellow is a French pioneer founded within the Casino Group in 2007, with the aim of accelerating the low-carbon trajectory of large companies around the world. The company offers a complete range of services to help companies make the transition to greener and more efficient energy solutions.

The transaction is valued at EUR1.4 billion (US$1.42 billion). As part of the deal, the Casino Group, GreenYellow's incubator and primary shareholder since 2007, will retain a minority stake and continue to be a key business partner. Similarly, 2018 shareholders Bpifrance and Tikehau will reinvest a portion of their earnings back into the business.
