The Uruguayan government delivered the definitive Demand Study for the installation of the Tacuari terminal, to be built on the banks of the Taquari River, in Lagoa Mirim, Uruguay.
The collected data will contribute to the project's demand analysis for the establishment and concession of the Lagoa Mirim – Lagoa dos Patos Waterway. The concession of this waterway, commonly referred to as the Brazil-Uruguay waterway, is a key focus of the National Waterway Transport Agency (ANTAQ) and is outlined in the Agency's General Waterway Grant Plan (PGO). This bi-national waterway transportation initiative spans sections of seven rivers, covering a total distance of 1,860 km. Navigating through the river channels will enable the transportation of agricultural goods to the Port of Pelotas, facilitating the release of cargo through routes in the Atlantic Ocean.
