The National Waterway Transport Agency (ANTAQ) has approved the holding of public consultation and hearing for the concession of the Port of São Sebastião in São Paulo, Brazil.
The public consultation aims to receive feedback to improve the draft notice and contract related to the bidding process for the privatization of the port. The selected concessionaire will modernize the port management model and attract new investments in infrastructure. The term of the concession contract will be 25 years, extendable for up to 5 years.
The proposed model expects the payment of the minimum grant amount of BRL33.3 million (US$5.86 million) to be carried out in a single installment. The bid with the highest grant value will be chosen as a winner.
