The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) will hold the Public Hearing for the Socialization of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project of Private Initiative (IP) El Dorado Máximo Desarrollo – EDMAX.
The EDMAX IP PPP is a project that seeks to expand the airport infrastructure of El Dorado International Airport within the current airport perimeter, increasing its capacity and allowing up to 73 million passengers to transit through this terminal annually upon completion of all the interventions. To this end, the airport's passenger terminal capacity is planned to increase by 118%, reaching a total area of 489,320 m², including the expansion of the domestic pier by 29,530 m² and the international pier by 121,710 m², the creation of the new Airport Modal Interchange Center (CIMA) with an area of 114,080 m², and the reconfiguration of 45,445 m² of existing spaces in the current passenger terminal.
In addition, the aircraft parking positions will be increased by 30, reaching 129, the boarding bridges will go from 39 to 75 (an increase of 92%), the construction of a new Terminal for Belly Cargo of 21,080 m2, having seven new rapid exit lanes, the extension of the north runway by 800 m and the arrival of the Transmilenio trunk system directly to the passenger terminal. Odinsa Aeropuertos SAS, which assumes responsibility for structuring, financing, and developing the project. In this model, the concessionaire is responsible for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the infrastructure, while the public entity oversees compliance with quality, efficiency, and sustainability standards.
