The ANI and the concessionaire have addressed community concerns regarding road safety by negotiating with the National Road Safety Agency to review measures for vehicle crossings and implementing traffic control barriers as a precaution. The project is funded through toll collection and public resources. It includes the installation of 9 km of solar-powered lighting and will soon begin constructing the Caracolí vehicular bridge. Spanning 152.2 km, the project, with an investment of over US$2 billion, includes viaducts, intersections, and infrastructure expansion.
