The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) announced it will hold public hearings on the socialization of the El Dorado Airport Flight Field public-private partnership (PPP) Project in Colombia.
The project involves the design, finance and building works for the improvement and operation of runways and taxiways and other strategic airside infrastructure. The project will introduce an initiative to protect the environment, as the time of use of the runway will be reduced and, as a result, fuel consumption will also be reduced. The reduction in fuel consumption will reduce CO2 emissions by more than 1,000 tons per year, thus contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The project aims to create new jobs and promote the unification of people from the sphere of influence.
The purpose of the hearing is to present a private initiative, which was represented by Odinsa and Pavimentos Colombia, to the community, companies and local, regional and national authorities interested in the El Dorado Airport Flight Field project and to listen to the opinions of the various interest groups. The hearing will be held on November 17 in the main hall of the Virgilio Barco Library in Bogotá.
