AMP Capitals to buy 40% stake in Wiri prison from InfraRed Capital Partners

AMP Capitals has agreed on terms to buy a 40 percent equity stake in the Auckland South Corrections Facility in New Zealand from InfraRed Capital Partners. AMP Capital will take the stake from UK infrastructure fund manager InfraRed Capital Partners, subject to regulatory approval, and will make the investment via its Community Infrastructure Fund.

Wiri prison project includes design, finance, build, operate and maintain the government's 960-bed prison in South Auckland. The concession period for the project is 25 years.
