AMP Capital has acquired an additional 9.95% in the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) on behalf of its Community Infrastructure Fund (CommIF) in Australia. The company's total interest in the facility is now 27.21%.
The financial close for acquisition took place on 23 July 2021, following the recently completed AUD2.2 billion (US$1.64 billion) refinancing of the hospital PPP. The facility is for 800 beds and is one of Australia's most advanced hospitals and energy-efficient medical centers. The hospital combines clinical services, training and research facilities.
AMP Capital was advised on its additional stake by Minter Ellison and PwC.
