The Ministry of Infrastructure in Brazil has structured a public-private partnership (PPP) concession to improve the regional airports in the state of Amazonas.
Under the concession, the selected private partner will be responsible for the expansion, maintenance and exploitation of eight airport infrastructures located across the state. The concession involves airports of Parintins, Carauari, Coari, Eirunepé, São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Barcelos, Lábrea and Maués.
The estimated investment value for the project is BRL380 million (US$69.16 million). The implementation of the project is expected to start in 2022.
