Cable television provider, Altice USA, is in advance talks with Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners, for the sale of minority stakes in its Lightpath fiber unit.
The deal could potentially fetch about US$3 billion of investment. Altice USA will keep the majority stake in its unit.
Lightpath provides Internet, telephone, data transport, and other services to businesses in and around New York City. It has about 350,000 miles of the fiber connection.
