All three bids qualify for final round in Western Macedonia waste PPP project

The Greek Special Secretariat for PPPs has announced that by decision of the Board of Directors of the contracting authority DIADYMA SA, and after assessing their technical offers, all 3 pre-selected bidders qualify for the next phase of the public tender for the project "Implementation of an Integrated Waste Management System in the region of Western Macedonia via a PPP", where financial bids will be assessed.

The three candidates that submitted binding offers on December 28th, 2012 are the following:

The private partner will undertake the designing, financing, construction, maintenance and operation of the infrastructure for the integrated waste management system in the region of Western Macedonia for a period of 27 years.

On Tuesday, December 18th, 2012, the European Investment Bank approved in principal its participation in the project's financing.

This project was the first waste management PPP project to receive binding offers in Greece.
