Albuquerque Development Commission (ADC) in New Mexico, USA has selected REMBE Urban Design and Development as project owner for the proposed Downtown Project at First and Silver in Albuquerque.
The project involves the development of 200 housing units, a cafe at a southwest corner of the site, as well as retail downtown with a small amount of well-curated retail spaces. The project aims to achieve goals included in the Downtown 2025 Metropolitan Redevelopment Plan, such as the creation of the downtown pedestrian-first, park-once place and at least 20,000 people living within one mile of the Downtown Core, and 5,000 living within the Downtown Core by 2025.
The REMBE Urban Design was the only firm to submit the proposal for the PPP project. It will assume duties as project owner and operator once the negotiations are finalized. The developer team will provide 19% of the capital financing for the project.
