The Government of Albania, through the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, has launched a tender for the design, financing, construction, operation, maintenance, and transfer of a 140 MW solar photovoltaic project under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme.
The project will be developed in the Karavasta area in the City of Fier. It is estimated to require about EUR100 million (US$111 million) of investment.
The solar plant will supply energy to the state-owned power distributor OSHEE for the first 15 years of operation under a power purchase agreement (PPA).
The deadline for the submission of documents is on March 16, 2020.
