The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is seeking consultants for its I-10 Mobile River Bridge and Bayway project that will be implemented under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme.

The State Department has also scheduled two public hearings in regards to the environmental impact of the proposed project. The events will focus on the Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (SDEIS) for the project, giving the public the opportunity to "review the SDEIS, learn about project developments, and provide comments that will be incorporated into the Final Environmental Impact Statement".

The public hearing will be held on May 7 at the Spanish Fort Community Center, 4:30-8 p.m., and on May 9 at the Mobile Civic Center, 4:30-8 p.m. ALDOT's presentation is expected to commence at 5:30 PM.
