The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund Société Anonyme (HRADF), a Greek privatization fund, has named Aktor Concessions SA as the preferred bidder for the right to use and exploitation of the marina of Alimos for 40-year concession period.
Aktor Concession has won the tender with its offer of EUR57.5 million (US$65.02 million) for the concession. The value of the agreement amounts to a total consideration of at least EUR177 million (US$200 million), as it includes, in addition to the price that will be paid with the beginning of the concession, an annual concession fee and a revenue-sharing agreement expressed as a percentage of the marina’s annual turnover.
The concessionaire will proceed with the investment of EUR50m million and the development of the area for the next five years.
Besides the upgrade of the existing port infrastructures and maintenance activities, the concession will concern the regeneration of marina. The purpose is to create a recreation center that includes green and promenade zones, leisure activities and dining areas, shops, hotel facilities, offices, playgrounds, and outdoor events.
The tender documents will be review by Greece´s Court of Audit for pre-contractual review.
