The Greece Ministry of Rural Development & Food and National Economy and Finance has announced that the companies Aktor and Avax are undertaking the PPP project for the Tavropos Irrigation Network, which includes the rehabilitation and modernization of the networks.
The TOEB Tavropou project involves the rehabilitation and modernization of irrigation networks with a total budget of EUR 105.4 million (US$ 110 million). Of this, EUR 34.2 million (US$ 35.8 million) is co-financed through the Recovery Fund. The initiative will cover 115,000 hectares, offering significant regional benefits by lowering production costs, increasing farmers' income, ensuring food security, and conserving water resources. These efforts aim to address challenges related to water scarcity while promoting environmental sustainability.
