Aircoach has announced the acquisition of North West-based passenger transport company Airporter in Ireland.
As a result of the deal, Aircoach will expand its commercial operations and launch a new bus route, bringing Aircoach to seven daily routes. The new route connects the northwest to Belfast International Airport, Dublin Airport and Dublin City Center and expands the Aircoach’s current 705X service between Dublin City/Dublin Airport and Belfast City and brings 12 new services to Derry, which includes a new route running daily with stops at Glengal Street, Belfast, Belfast International Airport, Drumahoe Park and Ride and Foyleside Coach Park, Derry and direct public transport links between the two airports.
The deal includes the transfer of Airporter drivers and operational staff to Aircoach to maintain the new timetable and route.
