The African Infrastructure Investment bank (AIIB) has announced that it will provide a US$248.4 million loan for the development of the Bukhara Region Water Supply & Sewerage Phase II (BRWSSP II) project in Uzbekistan. The loan has a 25-year maturity, including a 5-year grace period.
This project covers the second phase of a greater effort by the Government of Uzbekistan to extend water and sanitation services to all in the Bukhara region. The project supports investments to extend and improve water supply and sewage services to comprehensively cover the remaining districts of Bukhara region.
