The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) and the Regional Government of Piura signed an agreement to prepare the evaluation report and the development of the private investment promotion process for the Operation and maintenance of Sullana Hospital.
The project operator will be responsible for the replacement of clinical and non-clinical equipment, as well as the services of the Gray Bata (linen and laundry, food, security and surveillance, comprehensive management and handling of solid waste, sterilization and logistics of supplies and furniture) and the services of the Green Bata (clinical laboratory, diagnostic imaging, renal unit).
The Sullana Support Hospital II-2 will benefit 645,433 inhabitants of the province of Sullana and surrounding areas such as Tambogrande, Las Lomas, Talara, Ayabaca and Piura. This hospital was built in an area of 43,000 square meters with seismic isolators. It has 257 beds (209 for hospitalization and 48 ICU-NICU-Neonatal ICU), 35 Emergency Observation beds, five (5) operating rooms, 50 outpatient clinics, and a Hemodialysis and Tomography service. The project was built, with an investment of PEN 769 million (US$ 203.5 million), through the Authority for Reconstruction with Changes (ARCC) and the OHLA-HV Hospital Consortium (made up of the companies Obrascón Huarte Lain Sucursal Perú and HV Contratistas SA).
