The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) and the concessionaire Nueva Vía al Mar (Covimar) have inked an agreement to start the construction, operation and maintenance phase of The Mulaló - Loboguerrero road in Valle del Cauca, Colombia.
The national government recognizes the importance of the Mulaló - Loboguerrero road as a strategic corridor for the region. Dialogue between both parties will be upheld to safeguard the project's progress. This vital connectivity project contributes to the development of the Colombian Pacific region.
The project involves constructing a 27.7 km single carriageway and a 4.1 km double carriageway, along with 5 tunnels, 45 bridges, and pedestrian bridges. This highway will serve as a bustling tourist corridor in Valle del Cauca, fostering economic growth in local towns and rural areas. Stretching from Mulaló to Loboguerrero, the project will reduce cargo transportation time to Pacific ports by 1 hour compared to the existing route, improving overall mobility.
