The Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) and Angkasa Pura II have signed two agreements concerning the development at Soekarno - Hatta International Airport.
Angkasa Pura II operates Soekarno - Hatta internation airport, which is the largest airport in Indonesia is located in Jakarta. The airport serves 850,000 aircraft and provides a connection to the Java island of Indonesia.
Under the agreements, both companies will create a new joint venture to undertake operational works for the airport as well as the development of a new cargo village. Situated in an area of 90 hectares, the new village will have the capacity to handle 1.5- 2.2 million tonnes of cargo per year. The cargo terminal will be three times bigger than the current one, with the capacity to handle 700,000 tonnes of cargo per year.
