Uzbekistan Airports Joint Stock Company (JSC) and Changi Airports International (CAI) have inked an agreement to jointly develop Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport in Uzbekistan.
Under the agreement, CAI has to deliver consultancy and technical services for the management and operation of Tashkent Airport. The services encompass capacity optimization, operational standard enhancements, commercial planning, and traffic development. Additionally, CAI will collaborate with Uzbekistan Airports on a feasibility study for the new Tashkent Airport Project. With the existing airport facing capacity constraints and insufficient aircraft parking spaces during peak periods, efforts are underway to address this issue by constructing a new airport.
