The Metro de Bogotá (EMB) Company has reached an agreement with the National Development Fund (Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional (FDN)) for the expansion of the first Bogotá metro line project in Colombia.
The agreement will advance the feasibility studies and design of the technical and financial components of the 2.6 km northward expansion with two or three new stations, reaching the Calle 100 sector. Based on this, the project no longer goes to Calle 72, but to Calle 100, and will be linked to a new corridor integrated into Primero de Mayo avenue. The contract value is US$13.19 million for a period of 10 months.
Bogotá Metro line 1 PPP project is expected to be 23.9 kilometers and includes 16 stations. It starts from the Americas Portal to Caracas avenue with 72 street, along Villavicencio avenue, Primero de Mayo avenue, street 8 south and 1.
