The French Development Agency (AFD) and Casablanca Transport Company in Morroco has signed an agreement to receive a EUR 100 million (US$ 118.65 million) grant from AFD to complete the third and fourth tramway line in Casablanca. The agreement also includes EUR 5.5 million (US$ 6.52 million) technical grant from AFD.
The third tramway line - T3 - will be 14 km long which will connect Boulevard Abdelkader Essahroui to Casa Port station through the city center with 20 stations and five multimodal connection points. The fourth tramway line - T4 - will be 12.5 km long which will connect Boulevard Okba Ibnou Nafiaa to Parc de la Ligue Arabe via Boulevard Mohamed VI with 19 stations and four transfer points.
