It is strategically positioned as a hub for concentrated innovation and technology development, intended to evolve into a new community promoting healthy and sustainable living. The project will incorporate an integrated low-carbon infrastructure system, addressing waste management, energy efficiency, water management, smart and sustainable mobility, and urban planning and design to work towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
The development of the San Tin Technopole will occur in two phases, with the first residents expected to arrive in 2031. Upon completion, it will offer approximately 54,000 new housing units.
